What is an "Acquisition Agent"? 

An Acquisition Agent is a person who by means of telephone, mail, advertisement, inducement, solicitation, or otherwise attempts directly to encourage any person to attend a sales presentation for a timeshare program.

Can an applicant hold a Timeshare and Acquisition license at the same time?

No. A person shall not be permitted to hold an active Timeshare Salesperson license and an active Acquisition Agent license at the same time. 

What is a "Designated Agent"? 

Every Vacation Lodging Services (VLS) firm is required to have a licensed Designated Agent. The Designated Agent must be an individual who is also an owner, principal, officer, or upper-level manager of the VLS Firm. It is the responsibility of the Designated Agent to supervise the firm office and all employees of the VLS Firm, to maintain the firm escrow account, and to complete the pre-license and continuing education.

Can you have an Affiliate Broker and a Designated Agent license at the same time?

Yes. 

What is "Vacation Lodging Service (VLS)"? 

This term refers to any person who engages in the business of providing the services of management, marketing, booking, and rental of residential units owned by others as sleeping accommodations furnished for pay to transients or travelers staying no more than fourteen (14) days. 

Each VLS must have a Vacation Lodging Service Firm license and a Designated Agent license for the person managing the VLS. Both licenses can be applied for through CORE

It is not necessary to have a licensed Real Estate Broker supervising the business.
