Promoter Requirements - Before Event

  • 1. Submit the completed event permit application and $300 fee on core.tn.gov, no later than 30 days before the event.
  • 2. Provide the following within thirty (30) days but not less than seven (7) days before the event date:
    • Proof of medical insurance covering the combatants of not less than $20,000;
    • A list of ring officials and seconds (cornermen) from which the Commission may assign to the event, and
    • Inform all prospective participants (cornermen) that it will be necessary for them to be duly licensed by the TN Athletic Commission.
  • 3. Submit a Promoter application (if not already licensed as a promoter) to include: a $50 application and $500 licensing fee; two photographs and a Surety Bond executed to the State of Tennessee in the amount of not less than $25,000.
  • 4. Immediately notify the licensing specialist of any change in the contest sheet, which is also referred to as the “Bout Sheet”. The Bout Sheet shall be deemed final seven (7) business days before the event.
  • 5. File with the Commission’s director, a copy of any contracts entered into for the sale, lease, or other exploitation of broadcasting, television, or motion picture rights for any professional contest at least seventy-two (72) hours before the event.
