Licensees who have reached the age of 65 and hold an INACTIVE status are not assessed a fee during renewal.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Even-numbered CPA licenses renew on December 31 of even-numbered years, with odd-numbered licenses renewing in odd years. You are eligible to renew your license in your core account once you are within 60 days of your expiration. The renewal of your license is not dependent on receipt of the Board's courtesy reminder. Please make a note of your expiration date and schedule your renewal accordingly.

80 hours should include:
- a. At least 20 hours in each reporting year,
- b. 40 hours in technical subjects, and
- c. 2 hours of state-specific ethics.
- Licensees must attach a listing of CPE credits during the online renewal. The Board staff audits the CPE documents of 10% renewing licensees each Spring.
- First Renewal Cycle: If a licensee is due for renewal, but their license was just issued the year before, they will only be required to complete 40 CPE hours; 20 of these hours must be in technical studies.
