Kristen -
  1. Unarmed Guards
    • Unarmed guards who renew a registration after January 1, 2023, will need to complete a 2-hour refresher training from a certified trainer.
    • Unarmed guards working for ANY PSO will no longer be allowed to carry any kind of weapon after January 1, 2023
    • Unarmed guards working at an establishment that serves alcohol for on-premises consumption will need to complete additional trainings within 15 days of working at that establishment
    • Unarmed guards who are required to have the additional trainings listed above will also need to complete refresher trainings in these subjects as part of their renewal application
    • Unarmed guards not required to have these additional trainings may still submit proof of completion of these trainings to have proof of these trainings added to their file/card
    • Unarmed guards who are already registered and need to add the classifications/new trainings to their card and file will need to complete a specific application to “add classifications” to their card
  2. Armed Guards
    • Armed guards working at an establishment that serves alcohol for on-premises consumption will need to complete additional trainings within 15 days of working at that establishment
    • Armed guards who are required to have the additional trainings listed above will also need to complete refresher trainings in these subjects as part of their renewal application
    • Armed guards not required to have these additional trainings may still submit proof of completion of these trainings to have proof of these trainings added to their file/card
    • Armed guards who are already registered and need to add the classifications/new trainings to their card and file will need to complete a specific application to “add classifications” to their card
