What is an authorized user?
The authorized user feature allows you to manage your account in a way that meets your needs. An authorized user is granted all access to submit any transaction available for your license. Typically, an authorized user should be an office manager, assistant, or supervisor. An authorized user should be familiar with all license and renewal requirements, including but not limited to, continuing education and insurance. Licensing requirements include, but are not limited to, those set forth in said issuing entity’s law and rules. Licensee is further responsible for incorrect or omitted information submitted to its account.
How do I add an authorized user to my account?
First, obtain your authorized user’s username (i.e., their email address). After signing into CORE, select “Authorized Users”. Select “Add” on the Authorized Users Overview screen, then enter the authorized user’s email address, and select “Next.” Add a check mark to each license that you want to share with your authorized user. Then select “Finish.” The authorization completed screen will indicate that the user received your request. Access will remain in pending status until the authorized user accepts or rejects access. Do I need a license to be an authorized user?
No, you do not need a license to act as an authorized user. However, you will need to create an account if you do not already have one. Navigate to https://core.tn.gov and select “Sign in” to create an account.
How do I find my username?
Your primary email address is your username. Login to your account and select “Account Information” in the top right corner of the screen.
How do I accept or reject authorized user access from a licensee?
Once the owner of the license requests access from their account, login to your account at https://core.tn.gov. Navigate to “Authorized Users.” Select “Incoming Requests” and choose the check mark symbol to accept the request or the no symbol to reject the request. Select “Ok” to confirm. Once you confirm your selection, the owner of the license will be notified via email.
Can I assign multiple authorized users to my license?
Yes, you may add multiple authorized users to help you manage your account. However, we recommend using discretion when granting authorized access. Can an authorized user apply for a license on my behalf?
No, an authorized user can only be added to an existing license on your account. Once your license is approved, you will be able to grant authorized access.
Can an authorized user renew my license?
Yes, an authorized user has all access to submit any transaction for your license, including renewal. Ensure the authorized user has all information needed to submit your renewal and certify the information is true and accurate. Both you and your authorized user will receive the application summary and payment confirmation, if applicable, via email.

How do I remove an authorized user from my account?
Authorized access may be deleted by either the owner of the license or the authorized user. Login to your account and navigate to “Authorized Users.” In the Authorized Users Overview screen, navigate to “Authorized Users” or “My Authorization.” Then, select the trash can icon under “Actions” to remove authorization. Select “Ok” to confirm deletion of that license.
