What happens after I file a complaint?

If your complaint alleges a violation within the Council's jurisdiction, your complaint will be assigned a complaint number and, in most cases, forwarded to the Respondent, who will then be required to provide a written response to the Council within fourteen (14) days. The complaint and response will then be reviewed by legal counsel. Legal counsel will then present the complaint, along with a recommendation, to the Council.

If it appears that your complaint does not allege a violation within the Council's jurisdiction, you will be notified. We will attempt to point you to the appropriate agency if possible.
