Will the surveyor keep a record that I can have access to?

In Tennessee, authorship of the original map(s) is the intellectual property of the Land Surveyor, unless otherwise specified by the contract. The surveyor will preserve the original map, field notes, calculations, work sheets, and other data. The client may request copies of any of the documents prepared for the project.
