How do I apply for a Contractor license?

The application is due 20th of the month before the Board meets. The application must be received in the office by deadline date; not postmarked, to ensure it is prepped by the staff for review. The Board meets six (6) times annually during the following months: January (Nashville); March (Nashville); May (West TN); July (Nashville); September (East TN); and November (Nashville). Meeting locations are tentative and subject to change.

The following steps must be completed: 

STEP 1 – TESTING: Contact testing center to schedule exam(s)

STEP 2 – FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Contact a Licensed CPA/PA (Licensed Certified Public Accountant or Public Account)

STEP 3 - LETTER OF REFERENCE

STEP 4 – PROOF OF INSURANCE

STEP 5 – CORPORATIONS AND LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES

STEP 6 – COMPLETE APPLICATION / EXPERIENCE / AFFIDAVIT (SIGN AND NOTARIZE)

STEP 7 – APPLICATION PROCESS - $250.00 LICENSING FEE
