This application must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $200.

The scrap metal dealer registration does not supersede any zoning laws or ordinances. Applicants must comply with any such laws or ordinances in the operation of their business as a scrap metal dealer. Applicants are advised to check with the proper authorities, including the Tennessee Department of Transportation, about such zoning laws or ordinances prior to commencement of any business operations at any given location.

DISCLAIMER: An applicant who has been convicted of a violation of Title 62, Chapter 9, Tennessee Code Annotated, or the criminal offense of theft, burglary or vandalism where such offense involved scrap metal shall be prohibited from registering as a scrap metal dealer if the date of the final order of such conviction is within five (5) years of the date of submission of the registration application. Applicants must be eligible for registration on the date the application is submitted.
