The shaking knocked down all my pictures; is that normal?

This is a possibility. The majority of the energy released from the blast goes to the intended work of fracturing the rock. A small portion of this energy goes into ground vibration or vibration in the air which might rattle windows or loose objects or cause items hanging from the walls to fall.
