Errors and Omissions (E&O) Insurance FAQs

Chase Keech -

Is a firm required to carry E&O insurance?

No. Firms can carry E&O insurance to cover all of their agents however TREC requires each individual agent to be responsible for their own E&O Insurance.

How do I keep my E&O insurance up to date with the board?

E&O insurance policies must be kept up to date with the board or else you risk suspension. E&O insurance policies are requirements of initial licenses and renewals, but if you are needing to send an up-to-date policy in between renewals, please email your policy in to trec.eo2@tn.gov with your license number included in that email.

Can I pay my E&O suspension fee online?

No, E&O suspension fees must be mailed or brought in person to our office at:
