What do I do if I didn't receive my license in the mail after initial approval or renewal?

If your license was mailed to the correct address and it's been a reasonable amount of time for the license to get to you through the mail, you will want to check with your local post office. You can also always request a duplicate license on CORE for a $25 fee.

If your license is returned to us, we will mail it to back you at no charge once the address is verified.

What do I do if I'm trying to get my transcripts from a school that has since closed?

The board will prepare an email explaining that we do not have transcripts and that the school is closed. Please email the board at cosmetology.board@tn.gov with the following information: your name, the name of the school you attended, the years you attended, and who this message should be emailed to.
