Please have the applicant email the Board at, Private.Investigation.Polygraph@TN.Gov , to request an application.
1) Completed application. Application fee $200.
2) Be at least 21 years of age.
3) Be a citizen of the United States or a resident alien.
4) Color photo.
5) Provide electronic fingerprint receipt from IdentoGo.
6) PSI exam.
7) Complete an internship of six months OR evidence the applicant is engaged in polygraph
examination business in another state for 5 consecutive years.
8) Education and Experience Requirements:
a) Graduation from a school of polygraph approved by the American Polygraph Association
or the Commission. And;
b) One of the following:
• Baccalaureate degree from accredited college.
• Two years of college and immediately preceding application submission have
been engaged in five years of criminal OR counterintelligence OR private
investigative work.
