Who is required to be registered with the Private Probation Services Council?
Any privately owned and operated corporation, enterprise, or entity which contracts to provide general probation supervision, counseling and/or collection services for a person convicted of a misdemeanor and placed on probation.
Do probation officers get a license?
Probation officers do not receive a paper license but they do have an individual license #. Generally the officers are tied to the probation company license meaning any active officer will be listed under one company. Although, the officers do have to renew their license they do not have to pay a renewal fee.
Are there reciprocal agreements with any other states?
No, there are currently no reciprocity agreements with any other state.
