LLE Exam Information

Last Updated -

The CE/CMC-A trade exam scores can be used to apply for an LLE license. However, if you hold an LLE license and want to obtain a Contractor's license, you cannot use these scores to apply. You must take the applicable trade exams.

If I am licensed in another state am I exempt from taking the test for the limited license electrician (LLE) license?

  • - No.  Trade exam waivers are only for the contractor exam.  The LLE license is specific to Tennessee.  The exam must be taken at a PSI location unless you have previously held the license and took the test with the prior vendor.
